6 Tips on How to Be Productive

Hi guys! In today's blog, I'll be explaining 6 tips and tricks on how to be productive. Being productive is a really good thing to focus on so that you can be busy in a day. So if you want to get lots of work done in just less than 24 hours, or you find it hard to do lots of things in a day, then read on!

1. Avoid multitasking

I truly believe in this because in a website called Next Big Idea Club, "Multitasking reduces your efficiency and performance because your brain can only focus on one thing at a time." Whenever I do my work, I always do one thing at a time so that I can produce work that is up to my standards. I think that if you do more than 1 thing at the same time, it will cause a lot of stress, since your brain can only focus on 1 thing. It only concentrates on 1 thing because so that you can do your best in your work.

2. Set some goals and/or reminders

Sometimes, you tend to forget lots of things because maybe you have a thing on the back of your mind. So you can do simple things like for example, if your goal was to read, your reminder could be like read 10 pages a day. You shouldn't do more than what you can actually do, because you won't have enough time to do other things. You could also set up times to start reading and end reading like 10:00 am to 11:00 am. That way, you can fit other things to do in a single day.

3. Try not to overwork

Although you should do lots of things in a day, you should definitely not overwork. Say your brain is like your stomach. If you eat too much food, then your stomach will be very full. It's not good to have your brain full. You should have enough space to fit more space inside your brain. Like Tip 2, you shouldn't do more than what you can actually do because you could tire your brain. If you tire your brain, it will drain all the energy you have, like when exercising.

4. Take breaks

Don't think about it too much when it comes to trying to be productive. Otherwise, this will lead to overworking. But here's 1 way to prevent overworking and tiring the brain. Take breaks. Breaks are important because it's a time where you can stop thinking and just take a moment to breathe. Breaks are also very important because it is also a reminder to stop doing the current work you're focusing on and onto the next. 

5. Find a good place for you to do your work

We as humans often get distracted from the things around us. So, some people prefer a noisy, buzzing work space. While other people like to work in a quiet and peaceful environment. Finding the best environment that suits you can be a very major part into doing high quality work. Like me, for example. I like reading and doing work in a quiet and peaceful environment for me to concentrate. It's good to stay put and be focused when being productive.

6. Try not to be distracted

Being productive can be really hard when you're in a work space where you can get easily distracted. Being distracted can put you off-task, without getting lots of work done. You should be aware of what could distract you and what could not. Some people find it hard to get back on track when getting distracted, but like me, some people find it rather easy to get back on with their work. So be aware of what makes you stop being productive.
