Recreating K-Pop Demon Hunters Ramyeon!!! (DIY Craft Project)

*AGGRESSIVE SLURP OF PRE-GAME RAMYEON

As you can tell, this blog post needs more... explaining to do.

I'll do exactly that.

Picture this, me in my comfortable PJs, a few days after I've watched KPop Demon Hunters, and so obsessed to the point where I have learnt the Soda Pop dance, with nothing to do or to even given a sign that I've watched the show in my blank white room. I thought Should I do something, and if yes, how?. I run through things that I could possibly do...

Do nothing because I can't be bothered to

or...

I recall the pre-game ramyeon that Huntrix ate before kicking demon butt. It's a picture of them individually but in a more cartoonish style.

What if I... remade it into physical cup noodle form?

I did a bit of researching, and eventually I came across a platform that sells homemade gifts and things. That's right, I'm talking about Etsy.

From Etsy

I saw a deal that was for $7.66 EACH, and it was just for a digital download of label to paste onto the cup noodles. But then I saw this deal, for just $5.89, for all three of them (AKA the picture above this paragraph). What a bargain.

(If you think about it, if I did the $5.89 deal rather than the $7.66 one, I would've saved $17.09! It was a lifesaver having to view this deal. And yes, I used a calculator for the math ðŸ˜š)

So after a little bit of a group discussion with my parents (they didn't need a lot of persuading, because it's $6 DOLLARS. Who would say no to that?), they bought it ðŸ¥³. It's one of those rare things that happen in your life as a kid. Parents giving in buying things. I think maybe also because it's my birthday month, so that might've helped too.

Plot twist, it was night time when I thought these thoughts, and I was lowkey really tired, so I slept like a Baby Saja after chugging hot sauce for the fans and had a great rest.

The next day...

I had loads of energy the next day and was ready to assemble the actual ramyeon. Here was what I did:

Step 1: Printing the labels

The digital file was set as a Canva design, so we printed the labels in an A4 format.

    THEY LOOK SO GOOD RAHHH

the Rumi one isn't in the photo because I was too impatient and decided to move on to the next advanced step

They all came out looking so great! I was super satisfied by the look of it. It looked so accurate in comparison with the cup noodles we saw in the movie.

Step 2: Select the cup noodles

The next thing that we did was pick out some cup noodles that were similar in size. How we did this was in our karate gi (gi means uniform), after a sweaty session, we went to the nearest New World to search and bringing the labels to check if they would fit just fine. Here was our purchase!:

The Maggi noodles were both the smallest and the best option for recreating the ramyeon. I also felt like these were a good flavour. Hitting two birds with one stone, I guess? Finding something good to eat, while using the packaging for the project.

It may not look really obvious in the photo but the tom yum noodles are a bit larger in size compared to the Maggi noodles

Step 3: Label removal surgery

This was very important to do. A few minor rips and tears would be alright, but a huge one wouldn't be hard to miss. I had to be very careful doing this procedure.

The chicken one was quite easy to remove, unlike the beef one, where it would so hard to strip off that I had to involve a cutter to do this.

The beef one took 30 minutes. It was a long and painful half of an hour.

Step 4: Cut out

This was very straightforward; all I had to do was try to make it look as visually pleasing as it did in its original condition. The results were fortunately good!

I'm obsesseddd

Then after that, I pasted it over the seal that was used for the packaging for the Maggi noodles. (I didn't use the tom yum one because since it was bigger than the other two it would stand out, and I didn't want it to)

Step 5: Making the seals

First of all, I cut out the seal, then I glued the side without without an image with a glue stick.

I pasted it over the seal used for the original packaging once I did that.

Last step, step 6: Sticking the cup and seal labels onto the cup

Kinda like Step 5, I glued the side where it was white but this time with liquid glue.

The first time I did this, it was very messy and resulted into me using a lot of tissues to wipe off the glue. But the second time, I sort of got the hang of it.

Once I did that, I sticked it on to the cup.

And for the seal, I put some glue on the rim of the cup to stick the seal.

FINISHED PRODUCT!!!
