Last-minute mini trip to the Mackenzie District New Zealand to see snow XD (was soo worth it!)

  Just in case you haven't read the title... yeah, this day trip to specifically Lake Tekapo was entirely unplanned. The updates on social media about how snow had formed really what motivated us to drive 3 hours to a place we hadn't experienced snow before. But in my family, that mere fact didn't stop us at all from doing what we wanted .  With a bag full of snacks on my side, and a trusty phone in Mum's hands, our journey began. 11:55am, first stop over of the day > High Country Salmon 2/3 of the journey, and ultimately our hunger caved in. My parent  had actually recommended this place, so all of us had high hopes for what awaited us inside.  Brief review of the restaurant: As soon as we entered the restaurant, it is already reeked of fish. But I disregarded that, since High Country Salmon was know for its "premium salmon". It's been a while since I've uploaded something... so I hope this blog will make up for all the blogs I hadn't done in that period of time. As you might already know, I currently live in Queenstown, which is best known as the "adventure capital of the world". And being brutally honest here, when I first moved to this place, let's just say I didn't exactly find it interesting in this resort town. A place where sports outnumbered academics?? Definitely not my thing.  But now, my point of view of this place has changed drastically over the months I've spent here, in my school, in my new home, but most of all, in my new community. Queenstown started to grow on me after a while, and ever since, I don't think I mind this place anymore. As a new local, I'll give you some places you can take a visit in Queenstown Central as a tourist.
