  Panic struck and Ava froze to the spot. Will seemed like he was going to throw up. "I said, where do you think you're going?" Lian demanded for an answer. Ava and Will looked at each other. Ava gave him a frightened but clear look that said "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" And Will gave a nod. Ava said quietly but audibly. "Run." They sprinted as several wolves chased against them, legs beating in muddy ground. But then, within a blink of an eye, they saw winged bodies scooping them up mid air.  "EEK!" Blood puddled on the floor. Ava laid on the floor, helplessly thinking what she could do. Blood oozed out of Will, which was eaten by the pack of wolf. She closed her eyes and the only thing she could do was hope for the best.  Ava jolted awake, a rush of adrenaline from that ruthless nightmare. She shuddered at the thought of Will lying on the ground, covered in blood. " Was that a vision?"  Ava thought with her heart rapidly beating fast. As if on cue, Will also woke up and stretched his wings. "Morning Ava, how are you feeling? Ava? Ava, what's wrong?" Will snapped Ava's thoughts away of her nightmare. "Wha? Oh yup! Totally fine. There were a few more cries as the creature's howls sliced through the air. "Uh... What was that?" Ava said, her voice trembled. "I don't know. I think it's a wolf." Will said with a strong hint of uncertainty and fear. Suddenly, Ava and Will heard footsteps stomp in the ground, so hard that the footsteps shook the earth. Finally (as Will's theory was right), the wolves had stop and stared them as if they were aliens. "Who are you?" The wolf in the middle of the pack (which Ava assumed was the leader) had spoken. Great. Now first, there's a human that's half sparrow and now there's talking wolves! Ava thought as she glanced at Will. "I'm Ava, and this is Will." Ava spoke on behalf of Will and herself. "We mean no harm." Ava said as she put her hands up. She shot Will a look to say Put your hands up too.  Will follow her instructions. "Good. And you, boy. What exactly are you?" "W-who are you?" the shadow's voice finally asked. "Please d-don't hurt me..." the unknown voice said wavering. "Don't worry, I won't hurt you. Come out." Ava said in what hoped was a calming and convincing manner. The figure finally stepped out of the shadows, revealing a sparrow but it was at least 10 times bigger than a normal sparrow. It almost looked as if it was... Ava couldn't believe it. Could the sparrow be a hybrid? "Sorry i-if I scared you. My name's William, but please, do call me Will."
