The Peculiar School called Erehmai | Chapter 5: The Description

 

Monica remained silent and respectful for the rest of the school day. She hated every moment of it, but if it meant staying one step away from being a slave of Ms. Silver, then it was definitely worth it. 

Later at night, Monica needed to form a plan to stop Ms. Silver from making children as her slaves. She shuddered at the thought of having to follow orders mindlessly, without any control. If she really didn't want to be a slave, then other kids probably don't want to either. She had to do something, and fast. In her desk, she typed in her laptop "demons with the ability to make people feel numb". Then a website popped up that said "Different Demons". She clicked it and it revealed a demon, mouth wide open, shouting a bloodcurdling chill. Shockingly, it had the same features as Ms. Silver that night when they stayed in at school. The title read "Lynges". She scrolled down to the description and this was what it read:

Lynges

Lynges has the ability to scan their surroundings and whoever is human, experiences a numb sensation where they can't move their body at all. They also have an ability to hypnotise people by reading their minds and playing with people like a puppet. The only way to break the hypnotised person's trance is to clap 5 times to their faces, in response which will snap out of the trance. But the thing is that you have to clap far away from a Lynge for they have really good sense of hearing from far distances, especially claps. 

How to stop a lynge

Its weak spots are normally the eyes, since they scan their surroundings with their eyes. You need to stab both of them in order for them to dissolve into ashes and float away.

This description was eerily similar to Ms. Silver features. And Monica had a feeling it wasn't an coincidence. Maybe it was... Monica freaked out. How was she going to do this? Though it did say the information she needed. She slumped into bed, thought of a plan, and hoped for the best.

The next day, Monica brought a fork to disguise as her weapon. Sure, it may seem a bit cruel but Ms. Silver had done things that were even more ruthless. So when she saw Ms. Stirling in the hallway, she rushed up to her and asked for permission to enter Ms. Silver's room. "I can't allow that. She may be busy doing her work." Ms. Stirling said as she ushered Monica into the classroom. That was disappointing, Monica thought. She was going have to take any opportunity when she sees Ms. Silver. She made a mental note in her head.

SPECIAL Post Bulletin * Grading to 6th Kyu*

Location:  GKR Karate Johnsonville Prime I stepped into the dojo as I grinned with embarrassment. My family and I were grading to (moving up to) green belt. The order of belts went like this; white, yellow, orange (which I currently was), green, blue, red, brown and black. But it wasn't going to be easy grading to these different coloured belts. The average person to become a black belt took 4-5 years! And currently, I was less than a year at karate. "Lining up!" one of the senseis (instructors) bellowed. "Hai!" the students grading shouted in response.  Shouting "hai" was acknowledging senseis when they say instructions. It was also a way to show that you were listening. If you didn't shout, you would need to do a certain amount of push-ups. I would say it was quite fair though. My heart was beating so fast, it could play the drums. Different Types of Poetry

Hello! In today's blog, I'm going to unveil some different poems that I learnt at school. Poems, I think, are a great way to express yourself. While making poems, I find the process of writing them really fun. So let's get started! Haikus Haikus originated from Japan. Haikus are short line of poetry, but that's not all. There are a few compulsory rules that need to be followed by making haikus; 1. There are only three lines in a haiku 2. The first line needs to have 5 syllables, the second line 7 syllables and the last line is 5 syllables 3.There are no more than 17 syllables in the whole poem Now, you might be wondering by Rule 2. That's what makes haikus more challenge to compose. But if you want an even bigger challenge, then when you're writing, you shouldn't give away what you're writing about.
