Pick-a-Path ~ "Strangely-Accurate" Occurrence (Part 2)

 You flip the next page. Your eyes widen in concern in the result of doing this. There's an illustration of you and Mum and Dad in the water gasping for air and a car sinking in water.

 Chapter 2: Water, and panic
Laura closes her eyes and takes a deep breath. The car is moving and she hears Mum and Dad talking to themselves. Everything is completely fine. Laura feels so relieved that everything is going perfect. She slowly opens your eyes and scans the road. In front of her is a truck in the lane opposite you. At first, she doesn't thinks too much about it. But within seconds

You are pretty much confused. There's no writing left after But within seconds. Wait. You flinch. It's writing what's gonna happen after a matter of MINUTES or maybe hours. You think it varies. You slowly move your head to the front. "She hears Mum and Dad talking to themselves." You, in fact, hear them talking themselves. Your heart races so loudly you can hear it beat. You really don't know what to do, and hyperventilates. Then...

You see a truck. A truck that's the lane opposite you. You know this is the part when disaster has struck. Or at least, about to.  What shall you do before it's too late?

                                     1. ask Dad to stop the car

OR

2. Wait 'till it's over

"STOPP THE CAR!!!!" You yell as if your life depended on it. The phrase wouldn't be taken seriously, but in this case, it did. Without even thinking, Dad swerves a different lane. The lane where THE TRUCK IS. You collide against each other, and sadly, you all die...

                      Restart by changing your decision

Suddenly it abruptly swerves to your lane. You look at the writing in the book to see if your theory was correct. There's more writing. But before you get a chance to read it, everyone in the car is right now diving into the water, with screams and shouts. But you just stay still. Looks like it's the end...

Or hopefully not. You wake up and see your dad staring at you. "Thank goodness you're okay." You blink. "Where am I? And Mum?" You hurriedly say. This is all your fault. You should have done something when you had the chance to. You have to make things right. "She's sleeping. We're in a cottage. A nice lady is accommodating us. We don't really have much of a choice. We have to stay here 'till we can get a car to go back home." Dad sounds serious. "I'm really sorry we ruined your chance to go to a resort. I know how much you wanted to go there..." He looks really sad. But you know who is  the one who should be sorry. "Well, I should be saying sorry. I-" You stop. "Yes Lau?" Curiously he asks. You consider whether you should you tell him about the book or not. You open your mouth, but no words come out. "Gosh, why didn't I tell him in the first place. This was gonna be tough." You think to yourself. Indeed it was.

"If there's anything wrong, you can tell me anything." You sigh deeply. "Fine. You know the book that I found on the ground? That book makes the future within a matter of a minutes, or hours." You begin. "And the book wrote that we were heading to water, and... there was no more writing because it already wrote 5 minutes to the future. And..." You realise something. Then your eyes widen in panic. "THE BOOK!" You yell. "IT'S GONE!!!"

Location:  GKR Karate Johnsonville Prime I stepped into the dojo as I grinned with embarrassment. My family and I were grading to (moving up to) green belt. The order of belts went like this; white, yellow, orange (which I currently was), green, blue, red, brown and black. But it wasn't going to be easy grading to these different coloured belts. The average person to become a black belt took 4-5 years! And currently, I was less than a year at karate. "Lining up!" one of the senseis (instructors) bellowed. "Hai!" the students grading shouted in response.  Shouting "hai" was acknowledging senseis when they say instructions. It was also a way to show that you were listening. If you didn't shout, you would need to do a certain amount of push-ups. I would say it was quite fair though. My heart was beating so fast, it could play the drums. Place Review: Taupo, the heart of NZ's North Island (and basically my itinerary)

Lake Taupo Holiday Resort, and a review Location: Taupo (4.5 hour drive from Wellington)  PHOTOS!! ('cause why not?) Entrance to LTHR This is me on a go kart! AND the iconic "#LOVETAUPO" sign, me standing on  the "U" Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious amenities:  Go karts, waterslides, pool (with a  BAR in it), tennis court, mini golf, gaming room, beach volleyball, jumping pillow and bike rentals Facilities: kitchens, picnic area, BBQ areas, camping grounds and campervans Hydroslides What I liked: The Hydroslides had some great features. It had lights inside, so it made the experience even more enjoyable. It also had a stoplight at the entrance when it's your turn to slide down the long snake of a waterslide. My family and I booked a slot for the camping ground, and luckily, the weather conditions were not so bad.
