First food: Gimme S'more Bagel

{nutella, strawberry and banana}

⚲ The Shelter Bar and Kitchen

Just imagine, my family and I hunting the area for any source of breakfast and to our dismay, we can't find any restaurants that are open. Until we come across this restaurant, with a big family going inside and our hunger growing. We step inside, and take our orders. I think to myself, let me guess, the menu's probably gonna be like, a sandwich or an apple rhubarb. Something that's pretty common to come across when you see a breakfast menu in New Zealand. Except instead of that, I look at bagel options. And the best part is that there's sweet bagel options as well, not just savoury. This was perfect. Because I know two very important things. One, bagels are delicious and very likeable, and two, I could really eat a bagel right now. So the bagel I chose was the "Gimme S'more" Bagel, which consists of nutella spread, strawberries and banana. The three components are absolutely superb when together, so I knew that it would be great. What I loved about this was that the nutella balanced out with the fruits, and the strawberries wasn't too much. It was served piping hot, but nonetheless, it was still a treat. It was a satisfying and light breakfast.

Second food:  Cheese and Ham Bagel

{smoked ham and cheddar cheese}

⚲ The Shelter Bar and Kitchen

This is a savoury bagel that I've tried in The Shelter Bar and Kitchen. I love ham and cheese croissants, so as a bagel I feel would be pretty similar. Like the "Gimme S'more" Bagel, it was served super hot and fresh from the kitchen. Honestly, I think this ham and cheese bagel would be one of the best breakfast foods to eat when you want to take it to-go, so that it wouldn't be too messy to eat and fast to eat! It was tasty and was a good combination to be paired with. It was super addictive, like I ate this in less than a minute. That's how good it was.

I love eating ham and cheese sandwiches, but for some reason, I actually prefer ham and cheese on my bagels now. I'm glad I tried this bagel to discover that.
