 First food: Chicken Katsu Ramen

⚲ Hikari Teppanyaki Queenstown

Funny thing is that I ate at a Hikari branch before, but not in the one that I'm reviewing right now. I ate at a Hikari which was at the airport. The branch that was in the airport was super delicious, the food just made me want another bowl of ramen again. So I figured, if the Hikari at the airport was divine, then surely the Hikari in Queenstown would be just as great, right? My honest overall rating for this would be that the soup for the ramen was diluted, so it wasn't as tasty as I would've liked, and there was a bit too much beansprout for my liking. So, sure, it wasn't what I exactly expected for this branch to be, but at least in the bright side, it was hot and filing. And plus, the chicken Katsu was amazingly cooked, so for the chicken, nothing bad about it.

Second food: Tonkotsu Beef Ramen

⚲ Hikari Sushi Bar - Five Mile Queenstown

Just pointing it out, this is a different branch compared to the first food that I reviewed in this blog (yes, there is 3 Hikari branches in Queenstown, as I know of). This was also after I ate the Chicken Katsu Ramen back at "Hikari Teppanyaki Queenstown". I was disappointed by the food from "Hikari Teppanyaki Queenstown", and at the same time was still had a burning craving for good Japanese cuisine and starving. My family was actually surprised that there was yet another Hikari that we'd come across, and since they were also hungry like I was, we eventually reached to a decision. We ate at "Hikari Sushi Bar - Five Mile Queenstown" and fortunately was satisfied with our meal!! Finally, after so long. The Tonkotsu Beef Ramen was super hot when served. The soup wasn't diluted and was tasty. And the beef was pretty good! So, in the end of the day, we'd managed to find a good Hikari branch that was in Queenstown (and also the branch at the airport).

Overall rating: ✩✩/✩✩✩✩✩

(PS: although Hikari is a good restaurant, personally I think nothing would ever beat Hey Ramen. It's the best😙~)

Thank you for reading my food review!
