Visiting Queenstown and trying the food!
Hello guys~... Today's blog post is obviously going to be a tiny bit different, because instead of reviewing the Wellington Central's food or Christchurch's, this time my family and I are travelling down the South Island and for the next consecutive days, I'll be trying the taste of some of Queenstown's restaurants and shops. Some will be restaurants I've tried in the past, and others will be my first time trying it. I hope you guys like it <3

(bonus content at the end!)

First food: Peanut sauce stir fry

{house made peanut sauce wok fried with fresh vegetables and a choice of meat, served with rice}

⚲ Thai Siam Kitchen

This actually wasn't the first time I've been to this restaurant. About 2 and-a-bit years ago, I was visiting Queenstown and went to the same restaurant. In the present day, I'd tried the food here in Thai Siam Kitchen after two years. And it was still as good as I remembered. I have tried peanut sauce before, but instead of it being stir fried with vegetables and meat, it was served with beef and chicken satay sticks. It's like a kebab-skewer hybrid sort of thing. And now when I tried this dish, I was reminded of the irresistible peanut sauce that I ate with satay sticks. And it was amazing. The peanut sauce paired perfectly with the stir fried vegetables and with the meat I chose for this meal. Chicken. And I picked the right meal, because I devoured everything on my plate until I was full and satisfied.

Second food: Roti and satay sauce

One take-away from this food review; I love peanut sauce an unhealthy amount. I'm being honest. If I could eat one food for an entire year everyday, one of the options I would choose would be anything peanut sauce related. I also love curry with roti paratha (a type of flatbread), so basically this particular appetiser was the excellent combination of two things I love. It was served hot and fresh, straight from the kitchen. Sure, it's a simple dish, but that doesn't necessarily make it boring. I always thought that curry is the best combination to be paired with roti paratha. But when peanut sauce was introduced to me, my thoughts changed faster than you can say "11:11". I seriously love this appetiser because it was just paired so nicely with each other.

Time for some bonus content~
drink review!!

Drink: Taro Milk Drink

⚲ Thai Siam Kitchen

This was my first time trying a taro flavoured milk drink. And also trying taro. I've heard from so many people that "taro is the best!" or that "taro is a good flavour, you should try it!". So I had high expectations for this drink to taste like heaven. The things that I liked about this drink was that it was sweet and so refreshing. It would be perfect to drink this on a summery day in the sweltering heat. My feedback though is that for me, it tasted a bit diluted. I wish that there would be more flavour into the drink, I would enjoy it a bit more if it did.
