Experiencing a Kiwi Kirihimete at the Queenstown Christmas Show! (part 3)
Previously...
Smoothly, they conclude the dance by exiting the stage, and back into the original situation. It's almost like the dance scene never even occurred in the first place.
"Whoa... so this is how Christmas is like in New Zealand." Olaf, still starstruck, comments on a few second's term of events. "Yup! Christmas time here in Aotearoa is always magical.", agrees Aroha.
"We really hope you enjoy your stay here Olaf and Aroha! ...Now, how many nights will you stay?"
They both sort out the final details, and Olaf can't help but wonder why Aroha is going out of her way and doing all of this. It's most likely out of the goodness of her heart. Olaf is touched by this, and wishes to repay her back somehow.
"Thank you so much for everything, William. It was magical!" Aroha lights up more brighter than a Christmas tree.
"You are absolutely welcome! Bye!" William walks off, still his hospitable manners showing in his face. "That was amazing." Olaf states in wonder. Aroha faces him in agreement.. "I know right?! That was soo cool~"

After Olaf and Aroha explore and stroll to different places, I can't help but notice that despite all the wonderful dance scenes, I haven't seen a single group performance that is either the stated groups of people who were going to perform; male and female ballet dancers, aerialists, or a children's choir. Maybe it'll be imminent for them to come on stage.
As Ms. Claus, a new character that is introduced into the play, she's left alone by herself, and it implies that this is a solo act, so possibly she's singing a solo. And my suspicions were correct. The instrumentals to "O Holy Night" fade into the background, and Ms. Claus' voice is smooth and angelic. It is slow, but graceful, and I'm impressed by her talent. Especially when I get to witness all of this in the audience.
I spot a triangular shaped bar circling ever so slowly on the ceiling, and in a rushed manner, the aerialists, dressed in cream coloured silks, climb their way via their aerial silks. If my intrusive thoughts took ahold of me, I would've grab one of the aerial silks and wave it around it the air like a maniac.
But honestly, watching them do what they're tirelessly trained for is much better than what my intrusive thoughts are telling me. As Ms. Claus continues to angelically sing, the atmosphere in awe and in amazement as they witness the aerialists circle the ceiling.
Although they make it look flawless and simple, I can tell that this art requires a lot of strength and skill, strength because they literally need to lift themselves up, and skill because, well they're feet away from solid ground. They could plummet and go splat at any given moment if they didn't do the right method for keeping themselves' safe. A dangerous skill that requires loads of strength but at the same time looking graceful and gentle. I like it. Maybe I should try aerial arts... but then again I can't even carry myself AND do a split. How am I supposed to do aerial arts when carrying yourself upwards and flexibility is the main thing??
...
Scratch that idea. I think I like it better with my two feet in the ground, and my legs not widely spread out.

"Wait. I think I know where to go next! C'mon Olaf!!" Aroha drags Olaf and obediently Olaf follows Aroha, trusting her with what destination she'll bring him to. This gives an opportunity for ballet dancers to sneak in, wearing plain white ballet dresses but accompanying their outfit is a pair of fairy wings with fairy lights (fairy-thing is fairy themed. Get it?? Okay anyway...). They're gonna look so pretty when they turn them on!!
With their delicate movements with their arms all the way through their fingertips, but their footwork being strong and powerful, they deliver a performance that is quite similar to the aerialists; graceful technique, but still requiring strength and skill.
They spread out their arms in synchronised order, lighting up their translucent with a blue tint wings, lighting the whole stage, and I catch a few audible gasps from both my parents and the audience members near me. I can't blame them though, it's a sight to behold.

I have been sitting in my seat for... a while now. But I only realise this when the final act is happening off stage. Santa Claus is between the two rows of the stage, belting towards the stage, and all the audience's eyes are set on him. "Holy cow, is that... SANTA?!!!" Olaf points directly at the red and white outfit coloured man. The characters that are witnessing this on stage and are acting as if Santa racing towards you is such a heroic act, but in this context and this part of the play, it is. The weather forecast had stated it wouldn't snow just in time for Christmas, but now it's snowing in New Zealand, so this enabled Santa and his sleigh of reindeers to fly to Queenstown New Zealand!!
Santa is cheerfully greeting Olaf, Aroha and his wife. "Now I can deliver presents to children on Christmas time!!! Ho ho ho!! Merry Christmas!!"
The instrumentals shift to "All I Want For Christmas Is You" by Mariah Carey, and Ms. Claus with her impeccable vocals, sing the first lines. Immediately, all the children who danced all the dance scenes hurry into the stage, performing the final musical number for the night. For once, the play seems right with Santa Claus because after all, a Christmas show can't be complete without a Santa Claus right?
"All I want for Christmas is... You~!!!"
Everyone applauses and I give a big round of applause for the brilliant talent show. Cheers and whoops fill the air, encouraging to scream my head off even louder.
Huh... that was actually a good Christmas show. Maybe the best one...
