Trip in Macau, China with my family ૮₍˃ ⤙˂ ₎ა!
Despite the duration of the whole journey to Macau, China being one hour away, that boat ride really took us out, because when we took a seat and the next thing I knew, I'd apparently dozed off and was no longer at Hongkong, but at Macau.
After disembarking the seacraft, my family and I collectively decided that coincidently, all of us were craving one sweet drink in particular. Chewy, refreshing boba tea.
But that also meant getting the real deal. We'd actually get to try authentic boba tea freshly made here in Macau.
We take a seat after finalising the restaurant we'd eat in as the electric fan blesses us with precious air.
"I'm dying right now..." I say.
"Same." Mum moans.
Since we were all parched, mouth-watering while daydreaming of the noodles that'd be served to us soon, the waiting time was 10 times more excruciating than it already was.
And finally, Tita Pretty picks up our drink, and places it in front of me. Eagerly, I snatch the straw and pierce it through the plastic, and attempts to take a sip-
"Let's take a photo first." Mum says.
I bite down a sigh. "Uh... sure."

My legs are aching to the point where they're trembling in the spot, but I try my hardest not to complain about it. The last thing my family needs is hearing complaints from me when they just want to rest.
The plan, Mum and Tito Ram discussed, was to have a taste of the night market in Macau. Also, a taste of some Portuegese egg tarts, which Tita Pretty and Tito Ram enthusiastically chatted about during the boat ride.
The night time slowly creeps in as the view outside our window is pitch black. You couldn't even spot a single thing outside if you wanted to.
Fortunately, the night breeze isn't as close-to-hypothermia cold, but rather a nice, cooling sensation. Eating Portuegese egg tarts - the sweet, piping hot delicacy that they are - are our first objective for our night in Macau. I could really eat an egg tart right now... I quietly consider on the bus ride to our destination.
Weaving our way into the crowds (though not so efficiently), at the most perfect moment, Tita Pretty notices a shop promoting guess what on a signboard?
Portuegese egg tarts.
I feel like I could squeal with glee, but I keep down the squeal and rush over to the signboard, the others keeping up behind me. Alongside it was a glass case to preserve the warmth of the tarts. Mum hands in the money, valued for 5 egg tarts for all of us to enjoy, and I could not wait any longer.
I devour mine with a huge first chomp, only for my rash decision to burn my tongue. "Oww... so HOT!" I fan my mouth. Who knew delicious things could bring such pain?

"The egg tarts from last night were so good, right guys?" I say to Ninang and Mum, waiting for my relatives to come back into our seats.
"Yeah."
And we're not also just waiting for my relatives to come. We're also waiting on a short but sweet Alice In Wonderland performance, but portrayed by professional ballet dancers who tell a story by dance, and a speck of acting.
"There you guys are! The show's just about to begin!" I whisper to my relatives as they take a seat beside me.
All 7 of us, including my baby cousin, waits intently for the show to start.
A few moments later, in a hurried manner, 6 ballet dancers, all dressed up as their corresponding characters (The Queen of Hearts, Cheshire cat, Alice, the twins, and the White Rabbit) tiptoe over and up onto the stage. The spotlight's on them.
I gape in awe at their controlled, precise movements. After all, ballet is not an easy art. It requires effort, passion and resilience. And I've also noticed that their choreography for each ballet dancer actually matches the character they're performing as. The Queen of Hearts is intimidating, pulling off high kicks into the air effortlessly. The Cheshire cat is energetic, more hyper than a typical cat should be, but then again, the Cheshire cat is no ordinary cat. The White Rabbit is leaping and hopping enthusiastically, like a rabbit's true nature. What a great detail, whoever designed this choreo.
The cast finishes with confident poses, and the spotlight gradually starts to fade within seconds. The crowd applauds for their amazing performance as Alice In Wonderland characters.
