December 29, 2025 (back to Hongkong from Macau)

ᯓ➤ Disney Explorers Lodge

They provided complimentary bus ride taking us to the Disney Explorers Lodge in the afternoon

"Oh my goodness."

My jaw has dropped onto the floor. From where I stand, an over towering Christmas Tree brightens the expanse of the lobby. The lobby, being an "explorer's" theme, has people wandering around but ever so calmly, with a low hum of chatter. I already know what to expect from this.

"Guys, let's take a photo first!!"

Breaking out of my overused smile, my eyes are all over the place faster than I can even think. "This place looks so grand and expensive!" Tito Ram, astounded, remarks.

I exclaim a "yes" in agreement. But my mind is still shifted to the view I now see from where I'm standing.

Mum walks over to me, and briefly goes over what's going to happen next. "We get to check in now?? YES." I do a celebratory fist in the air. A trip with my family to the elevator, I suddenly gain consciousness that my bones are in pure agony. It feels like I got punched everywhere...

Moments later, my family and I, all crammed into one, stare at the door that leads to our hotel room, and we're all thinking the exact same thing. What's going to be inside? With an act of courage, Tita Pretty swings the door open, and entering first, a rush of repeated "wow"s escapes her mouth. "This is amazing..." The rest of our family trail behind her, and have the same starstruck reaction. I do too, but only because of one thing...

"THE BED!!" I heave my body onto it, and for once in my life I think I've experienced something close enough to heaven itself.

December 30, 2025 (after a good night's rest)

When you're exhausted both physically and mentally, every brief opportunity of rest that passes you, you desperately take it. So when I rest my head on the pillow, wrapping myself with the duvet, I was sleeping soundly a minute later. And then the next, you break out of your glorious sleep and boom. It's December 30, 2025. I casually run through my morning routine, and hurriedly put on a flashy glittery dark pink dress I used for my 11th birthday party. I'm rushing because to put it in Mum's words: "WE NEED TO DRESS UP QUICKLY SO THAT WE CAN EXPLORE THE HOTEL FACIILITIES!!"

Dressed up and ready for strolling around the hotel, I concentrate on scanning the map of the hotel and its facilities, which is designed as a vintage explorer's map, hence, this is an "explorers" themed hotel after all. "Ooh, there's a fountain and some restaurants too ~ Maybe we could go to the fountain first?" My tone is almost in a pleading way. "Yeah, but we can also see other places like the pool if you'd want too..."

"OH MY GOSH YES." I scramble to the door, map fluttering in my hands. "Wait for us, Sophia!" Mamu calls out.

We'd just explored the pool area, but all of us ultimately decided we'd much rather continue exploring the rest of the hotel rather than getting soggy and wet.

Pushing through the glass doors outwards, we step into an extraordinary sight to behold. Two elephant shaped bushes are spread out facing forwards, around the rim of the fountain, all of their trunks spilling out with overflowing water. "That looks so cool!!!" I aggressively point at the fountain. I don't care if onlookers passing by give me looks. Because it's true. It looks so perfect from my angle...
