My second home, Singapore XD!! pt. 2 >;)
Last stop, Singapore!
> random hawker stall near our accommodation
I wasn't certain on what magical substance was blended into the rich, spicy flavours of laksa, but whatever it was, it always made me wanting more. I used to be the pickiest eater to ever grace the earth, but it seemed that as I grew older, my stubborness for food had mellowed down, and opened up to new doors for other cuisines for me to savour.
Now being 12, I wasn't as picky as I was before. And laksa, being turned down every time I was served the dish when I was a toddler, was now one out of many personal favourites.
The dish I had selected of the day - without even batting an eye - was Yong Tau Foo Laksa. Yong Tau Foo and Laksa were just two separate Singaporean dishes, before the birth of Yong Tau Foo Laksa took place and had changed my tastebuds forever. Yong Tau Foo was a childhood favourite, always being highly requested from me, asking my parents to get me a bowl of it from Food Republic. Takes me back...
I slurped the laksa broth, being just as good as I imagined it would be. The components I'd chose for the Laksa, brocolli, tofu, hotdogs, had enhanced this normal Laksa extravagantly more than I expect.

We'd finally visited Bukit Gombak after taking a series of train stops, but despite only sitting in a seat for the whole duration, it was incredibly uncomfortable remaining in the position for the journey.
The night was creeping in, the sky morphing into a dimmed grey hue. The air was cool and gentle as we heartedly chat amongst ourselves.
It wasn't particularly difficult to search for a place to eat. We immediately found a suitable location for us to take a rest from meandering, since our legs ached and longed for a break.
Usually the atmosphere at night would be humid as though it was day time, yet today something in the air was different. The wind was coaxing and twirled my hair round, as the breeze tickled my face. I loved it.

I was a bit uncertain to why I had trouble sleeping last night. My brain was telling me to walk around Singapore with a pair of headphones on while listening to my music taste, but between my intrusive thoughts and my reasoning, I knew that couldn't happen. So I just stared at the white ceiling, until I murmured "102 wishbones...103 wishbones... 104 wishbo..." to sleep.
| random selfie of me that night (idk why I just thought I looked pretty :3 |
So my current state of my thought process was about being curious to what we were going to do today.
Hopefully it'll involve food XDD, my bigback self pondered.

> Go-Ang Pratunam Chicken Rice
This Thai restaurant used to be the one restaurant where I wasn't picky of boiled chicken with rice. Now thinking back, I think it was the one shop that made my pickiness less... worse than it already was.
Just the first bite, and it already gave me flashbacks to when after I went mall-hopping when I was 5, still a naive and oblivious child, finding the meal delicious. I still did find it delicious. Just like old times~
(sorry for getting nostalgic heh, I just do that a lot to my days in Singapore)
Final blog post of Asia trip out next Saturday, so stay tuned!
