My second home, Singapore XD!!

Last stop, Singapore!
> lyf Bugis Singapore

Despite being a pure Filipina, I still considered Singapore as my second home, growing up there. I guess you could even say that Ninang and Mum, who planned out this entire thing miraculously, saved the two countries I call home to be the last of this journey.
And this was our last destination; Singapore!
The glorious days of my childhood when I would get waffles after going to the waterpark, and gnawing on hotdogs from Old Chang Kee's flashes back into my mind. Nostalgia. Here I was, standing at the streets I used to walk by, and being dragged down by a bag full of books from Bugis library.
"AHH I MISSED THIS PLACE SO MUCH!!!" I squirmed, giddy.
All there was to do was just get all the rest we needed and prepare for what awaited us tomorrow.

Typical city life in Singapore

The night life in Singapore was worth all the thrill. People had the choice to rest up and put themselves into a deep slumber, but yet others chose to walk the sidewalks, gather with their closed ones, and feast on goodies. For your information, we were the others who chose to get eye bags :3
Nearby our hotel was a restaurant bursting with people, with one large queue patiently waiting to place an order by scrolling on their phones. So since all of us were looking for something light to eat as a midnight snack, we ordered fried chicken, calamari (personal fav.) and their signature noodles.

I couldn't recall what happened after, the only thing that I could recall though was knocking out completely as I laid on my bed.

Acting like tourists in a place we once called home....
Singapore arguably has some pretty good food in the world. Argue with a wall.
And considering that opinion of mine, it was safe to say that I was screaming loudly when I was told we were going out into the bustling streets to feast and enjoy some delicious food~

"That food better be tho most delicious thing I've eaten in my life." I gripped onto my knees, huffing and puffing exaggeratedly, barely able to keep myself upright from all that walking.
It had taken us roughly about 30 to 45 minutes walking in circles just to find this restaurant, with Ninang's unhelpful and unclear directions on her phone guiding the way.
The type of chatty atmosphere in the room wavered as I pulled open the glass door to the restaurant. Already, I spotted some people meeting up with friends and catching up with them, or tourists debating on which Singaporean food is best.

Being brutally honest, this restaurant looked old from its floors, and it looked like they just renovated, trying to cover up the building's age. So I didn't have high hopes. Until my pasta was served in front of me, the critical judgement my parents and I had made had unconsciously just vanished into thin air.

My mouth watered as the irresistible scent of heavenly pasta went into my lungs. It's funny how judging a book by its cover can lead you into the situation I was facing right now.
I swirled the pasta using my fork, and popped it into my mouth. The food just about tasted more appetizing than it looks, and eventually that first swallow led me to a whole new series of devouring this unbelievably satisfying meal.

Overall rating of our whole experience in Oh Wunder Cafe by Wonder: 11/10!! Would highly recommend if you aren't on a strict budget!

It was kinda strange how even though we'd lived here and knew this country like the back of our hands, when we visited this place, nonetheless we still acted like tourists by taking photos every opportunity that appears right in front of us, or using the map to guide our way through the streets. Perhaps the main reason was that we hadn't been here in a long time, as far as you could tell. And another being that we'd missed this place a lot.
So I couldn't care less if people gave us looks as we took photos as we pleased.
Since I was perfectly fine to take photos, that significantly implied that I was in a pleasant mood today.
